General Policy
CnES fully support WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) set out by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium). These guidelines aim at ensuring websites are accessible by all users including those with disabilities. All CnES web content complies with or is in the process of being made compliant with the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) ‘AA’ standard. Non-W3C formats (e.g.,Flash, PDF) or multimedia will only be used where they are the most appropriate format for the content in question.

How access keys are invoked depends both on the operating system you are using and your particular browser, e.g.,
MS Windows / IE 6
- Hold the ALT key.
- Press the access key.
- Release both the ALT key and the access key and press return.
MS Windows / Firefox 2
- Hold the Shift and ALT key.
- Press the access key.
Macintosh
- Hold the CTRL key.
- Press the access key.
- Release both the CTRL key and the access key and press return.
CnES Hosted Screen Reader
Browsealoud
CnES Web supports the use of Browsealoud, a freely downloadable computer program that reads out website content.
