Introduction
As Chair of the Western Isles Child Protection Committee, I am delighted to welcome you to the Committee's website.
Police Forces, NHS Boards and Local Authorities are key agencies and have the responsibility for working together to identify and commission child protection activity. The Western Isles Child Protection Committee provides a forum for senior managers and professionals from Social Work, Housing, Health, Education, Police, Children’s Panel, Fiscal Service and the voluntary sector to achieve the tasks of developing, monitoring and reviewing child protection policies and practice throughout our Islands.
