Community Learning Classes and Workshops
Community Education deliver community learning classes and workshops in the Western Isles in partnership with Lews Castle College and local voluntary organisations. Provision is offered at a variety of community venues throughout the islands and is open to anyone over the age of sixteen (fourteen to sixteen year olds can attend if accompanied by a participating adult). Times and costs vary between classes but discounts and fee waivers are available as appropriate. The range of classes offered varies in response to community consultations but core subjects generally include Gaelic, computing, fitness, arts/crafts and First Aid classes.
