Western Isles Learning Shop
The Western Isles Learning Shop is an adult learning centre run by the Community Education Service.
The Learning Shop is based in the Town Hall in Stornoway and offers a comfortable environment for adults looking to brush up on their core skills as well as learning and developing new skills.
Learning is tailored to the individual’s needs and progress is measured by how much it has changed the learner’s life.
The learner has equal input to the pace, style and pattern of learning.
Learning can be undertaken one-to-one, in a group or self-directed during a drop-in session and there are a range of learning options – these include literacy and numeracy support, lifeskills work, basic computing, driving theory support,family learning and English as a second language (ESOL). The Learning Shop also offers SQA accreditation options at SCQF Level 3 and Level 4.

Travel and family care costs can be reimbursed to learners.
