The Outer Hebrides Community Safety Partnership held a successful campaign in An Lanntair for Alcohol Awareness Week in October. Over the week the Partnership ran a quiz to gain feedback from the public on a number of topics and with the chance to win a number of valuable prizes. 1st prize for the digital camera went to Ria Macleod, 2nd prize, dinner for two in An Lanntair went to Shona Macleod and 3rd prize, £20 Woolworths Vouchers, went to Norman Getty.
The Partnership would like to thank Paul Joseph at An Lanntair for promoting the sensible and safe drinking message. During the week An Lanntair promoted non-alcoholic beer, selling it for under a pound. Paul also says he will continue to sell non alcoholic drinks at the best possible price and after a great response, An Lanntair have introduced a new food menu into the bar -“have some food before you drink”.
It is hoped that members of the public will remember to keep an eye on their unit intake whilst still enjoying themselves.
Chair of the Partnership, Charlie Nicolson said, “We need to ensure the message about sensible safe drinking gets through. Our work with An Lanntair has been invaluable in this regard. I am indebted to Paul for all the help and assistance he and his staff provided”.
