ADP & CSP Christmas Campaign 2009
Presentation of prizes to quiz winners
In conjunction with Community Safety Partnership, this festive season the Alcohol Drug Partnership embarked on a campaign to raise awareness of safer drinking levels with the objective of engaging members of the public with an alcohol quiz. The quiz was given out in a pack which included a units measure glass, a fact sheet, leaflets, fruit bar and units wheel to encourage people to think about safer drinking during an especially boozy month! Display stands were manned by CSP and ADP staff in the co-op, An Lanntair, Council offices, the Nicolson Institute social area and An Caladh in Benbecula with advice and information about alcohol use. The quiz was also made available during the ADP officer’s educational inputs throughout December in Shawbost school, Sir E Scott school in Harris and Castlebay youth café training in Barra.
From over one hundred hopeful quiz applicants, the three winners selected included runners up Rhonda Copeland winning £100 sports shop vouchers, Amanda Mitchell who won a surf lesson and overall winner Hannah Knight who received gym membership.
