Final Draft Revised Management Scheme for
Loch nam Madadh European Marine Site

The Loch nam Madadh Marine Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Life Project resulted in the development of the Loch nam Madadh European Marine Site (EMS) Management Scheme in December 2000. A review of the Management Scheme was carried out by a consultant in 2006 on behalf of the Loch nam Madadh EMS Management Group and a first draft revised Management Scheme produced.

The first draft revised management scheme was then subject to an 8 week public consultation period via the Comhairle website from 7 March to 4 May 2007. Further changes were made to produce a final draft management scheme which has been circulated to the Management Group members for approval.

The final draft Management scheme will be considered at the Annual General Meeting of the Management Group on Thursday 8th November 2007.

This final draft lacks detailed maps of the site. Boundary maps at A2 size will appear in the final document to allow easier reading of the complex boundaries of the site.

Once approved, the revised Management Scheme will be published largely in electronic (PDF) and CD/DVD format, with few hard copies. The Non-Technical Summary however will also be produced as a promotional/public document and will be a bilingual Gaelic/English document.
