Core Paths Planning in the Hebrides

The Outer Hebrides Core Paths Plan has been formally adopted (April 1st 2010)

The adopted Outer Hebrides Core Paths Plan is now available for inspection. The Plan provides the public with a system of paths which is sufficient for the purpose of giving reasonable access throughout the Western Isles and includes introductory text and maps compiled by the Council in accordance with section 18(8)(b) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.

The Plan is available from 1 April 2010, alongside the Environmental Report prepared as part of the Strategic Environmental Assessment under the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.

You may view a hard copy of the plan at the following Council Offices during normal business hours:
