Human Resources


The aim of the Human Resources service is to ensure the successful implementation of the Human Resources Strategy. The service provides professional leadership on effective management of human resources and provides advice and assistance to managers on all personnel matters including recruitment and selection, employee health, communication, job grading, and equalities. 

Training courses identified through departmental training plans ensure that employees have the necessary skills to deliver business objectives.   Supporting continuous improvement is a core function and is achieved through Best Value reviews, Investors in People accreditation and improvement planning.

The service undertakes statutory duties relating to Health and Safety, and emergency planning.    The service also takes the lead in risk management, advising and supporting management on new and existing strategic risks.

  • Human Resources Support and Recruitment
  • Organisational Development
  • Risk and Emergency Planning
