Stock Condition Survey 2008

Over a period of the next 3 weeks HHP will be carrying out surveys on a sample of our Housing stock.

The surveys will be conducted on our behalf by Michael Dyson Associates Limited.

Correspondence is being issued to tenants advising them of the extent of the survey and why the surveys are being carried out.

Over the next few weeks, surveyors will be carrying out surveys on and around various schemes and properties throughout the islands. As part of this exercise property surveys are being carried out on a sample of HHP properties and your home may need to be inspected.

The survey will only be carried out to 20% of our stock. However, all tenants are receiving correspondence in the event that surveyors are unable to gain access to a particular property they will then attempt to contact survey another property within the scheme. Surveyors will make every endeavour to gain access amicably with tenants.

It is anticipated that surveys will take about 30 minutes and will include a survey of the internal structure and fixtures such as walls, ceilings, floors, doors, heating appliances, windows, kitchens and bathrooms as well as the external fabric.  Information collected by the Surveyors will be used to help to plan, prioritise and budget for any necessary repairs and improvements.

Please allow the surveyors into your home should they call.  The surveyors will be carrying an ID badge and letter of authority from HHP that you should check before letting anyone into your home.
