Over £4000 Raised in Support of Colleagues Neice

Over the past four weeks  staff at HHP have been involved in raising funds to help support the family of  one of our colleagues, Angus E MacNeil.  Angus’s niece Kirsty has been in Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow since October and is currently undergoing treatment which means she will be in hospital for some time.

The fund raising involved a soup and pudding week, homebaking week and the final event was a raffle which was drawn on Friday 4th December 2009 by Angus B MacNeil (MP). The main prize winners were

  1. Dinner, bed and breakfast for 2 at Kingsmill Hotel, Inverness – Cate Shepherd (CNES, Uist)
  2. Samsung 10mp Digital Camera – Peggy (CNES)
  3. Luxury Hamper – 8 South Shabost
  4. 22inch LCD TV with Freeview-Christine, Seaforth Road
  5. 2 Return flights from Stornoway to Glasgow, Inverness or Edinburgh – Hugh McCormack, Torlum

The final total raised was £4,009.  The staff at HHP would like to thank everyone who participated in the fundraising by donating prizes and buying raffle tickets.

After the event on Friday Angus wrote  “It is difficult to find the right words to thank you all but whether you donated prizes, bought raffle tickets or just gave money please accept my heartfelt thanks on behalf of Kirsty, her mum Effie and all our family”.
