The Comhairle’s Housing Services Team are responsible for production of the Local Housing Strategy; Private Sector Housing Scheme of Assistance ; Homelessness; and general information and advice about housing issues.

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar no longer has council houses. Following a successful tenants ballot, all council housing stock was transferred in September 2006 to a local housing association, the
Hebridean Housing Partnership.
