Join members of the Stornoway Astronomical Society for some special free library events to celebrate BBC Stargazing Live

“An introduction to planets and other objects in the solar system”, a talk by Donny Mackay
For those with little or no knowledge of astronomy and who would like to find out more

“Meteorites and Moon Rocks”, with Rob McCafferty
A chance for budding young astronomers to look at and handle small cosmic objects and astronomical instruments
(for a younger audience, but all welcome)

“A beginner’s guide to the night sky”, a talk by Angus Morrison
Weather permitting; there will be an opportunity to do some observations using telescope, binoculars and the Celestron Sky Scout.
