Archaeology For Everyone Exhibition

Report of  results of the Archaeology survey of Sloc Sabhaidh, Baleshare, North Uist

Two sections to the exhibition:-

  1. Section 1 looks at Sloc Sabhaidh a recently uncovered wheelhouse.
  2. Section 2 looks at Archaeology in general – what is archaeology?

Langass Forest Exhibition

2010 International Year of Biodiversity – Sgoil Lionacleit Cross Curricular Project

Artwork inspired by the Langass Forest Cross Curriculum Project.  The S2 pupils will work with the Art & Social Subjects Department and the museum to learn how to curate an exhibition and will be involved with all aspects – mounting, design, promotion, opening, etc.

Scottish Parliament:  Moving Stories

Commemoration of the 10th anniversary of devolution.

A travelling exhibition which commemorates the 10th anniversary of devolution.  This exhibition tells the inspiring stories of ten Scots who have, through campaigning for change, made a difference in a devolved Scotland.


St Kilda Exhibition

The 80th Anniversary of the evacuation of St Kilda. Conference & Exhibition by the Islands Book Trust

Islands Book Trust Exhibition - celebrate the 80th anniversary of the evacuation of St Kilda by looking at the material that has been written about the Island over the years, right back to Martin Martin’s time in 1697.  We plan to compare this with the writings about similar remote Island communities in Ireland and in the Faroes, to keep that Nordic and Celtic connection in our research and presentations.

The Westland 2010 Exhibition tour

In 1879, the 'Westland' set sail on its maiden voyage from Tail o' the Bank in Scotland, to Port Chalmers in New Zealand. Navigating through the filtered lens of 130 years, artists Joanne B Kaar (Scotland) and Lynn Taylor (New Zealand) respond by bringing two sides of the story together.
