Latest NewsOctober UpdateFollowing the evaluation of the PQQ responses and the shortlising process, Invitations to Participate in the Dialogue were issued to the four shortlisted bidders. These bidders are: Canmore Partnership and Capita Symonds Initial clarification meetings with the bidders were held on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd October and it is anticipated that further meetings will be held at the end of the month. In accordance with the agreed communication matrix, a meeting with Head teachers of the relevant schools was held on 5 September and project updates were sent to School Boards, Community organisations, community newsletter editors and published on the PPP Website. Notice of the website update has also been sent to all Councillors. It is intended to provide all stakeholders with regular updates on the Project. A meeting has been scheduled for October with Benbecula Community Association to discuss access arrangements at the proposed new school site, adjacent to the new Community Hall site. A meeting was held with Barvas and Airidhantuim School Boards where they were updated on the progress of the project. The Project Team and Board are currently exploring various options for the Nicolson Institute site. Investigations and discussions are still ongoing in relation to cashflow modelling of the hybrid model. A meeting was held with financial advisors to agree the cost assumptions for the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) on 30 August 2006. Further work is being carried out by the Project Team and advisers on the various risk elements of the project and a meeting will be held in October to move this forward.
