April/May Update

• In April the draft financial model was completed and the Scottish Government has approved the process to get to that stage.

• Dan Macphail has been appointed as the new Project Manager.  He took up his new post on Wednesday 30 April and the outgoing Project Manager left on 16 May after a handover period. 

• Substantial work has been done with the Education team to standardise the accommodation schedules for the Project schools. 

• Work on selection of a new site for Balivanich Primary School is ongoing.  A community survey is currently running until the end of May where interested parties have an opportunity to express their views on the three potential sites.  Statutory consultation will take place in due course. 

• Substantial work has also taken place on progressing options for the Nicolson Institutes.  These will be presented at a future meeting of the Education & Children’s Services Committee.

• The Project Team has been liaising with Sgoiltean Ura LLP, Faithful & Gould and 3DReid sharing information and progressing the Project.
