SCOTTISH EXECUTIVE TO HOLD WINDFARM PUBLIC MEETINGS

Members of the public will have the opportunity to discuss the planning process surrounding large scale windfarm applications with representatives of the Scottish Executive at public meetings in Lewis.

Two meetings will be held following the expected submission of the Lewis Windpower windfarm planning application for the Barvas moor.

Planning applications for windfarms with a capacity over 50mw are dealt with by the Scottish Executive.

The meetings are scheduled to be held on the 5th October in Stornoway Town Hall at 6pm and in Ness Hall at 8.30pm.
