Technical Seminar being held at the Lews Castle College Conference
Centre in Stornoway on Thursday 1st September.
The seminar, which has been organised by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s
Technical Services Department, will investigate the potential for
developing a building design package called greenSPACE as a joint
venture with Lews Castle College and industry partners. greenSPACE
will allow architects and engineers to evaluate a range of renewable
energy technologies during the design process.
For further details of this free half day technical session please
contact Donald Macritchie, Principal Engineer (Energy and Building
Services Projects), on 01851 709274 or dmacritchie@cne-siar.gov.uk

Notes:
greenSPACE is an applied, interdisciplinary Internet-based project
focused on optimising the use of natural resources and the dynamic
design and management of green buildings. It will allow designers
to determine energy loads for a building and asses the efficiency
of a range of renewable energy technologies.
