There is a blue-green algal bloom at Loch na Creige Fraoich, North Lochs, Lewis.

Swallowing the water or algal scum can cause stomach upsets or more serious health effects.

Contact with the water or algal scum can cause skin problems and should be avoided.

Animals should also be kept away from the scum and the water close to it.
