Industrial Action - Update
Comhairle Offices at Stornoway and Balivanich will be closed to the public on Wednesday 20th August 2008 due to industrial action.
Offices at Castlebay and Tarbert will be open as usual but may be subject to limited service.
Libraries across the Western Isles will be closed to the public and some mobile library services will be affected.
Comhairle Sports facilities will be closed except at Lionel and Shawbost where the pools are expected to open as usual. Harris Sports Centre will also be open.
It is anticipated that other Comhairle premises will be closed.
Emergency calls only may be made to Faire- 01851 701702.
Services for the most vulnerable, including Residential and Home Care, are exempt from the action.
