Ferry Services Review Meetings
Cllr Donald John Macsween has called for people to turn out to ferry consultation meetings being held throughout the islands. The Scottish Government is undertaking a comprehensive review of ferry services in Scotland and are holding public “drop-in” meetings from 5-8pm on:
Monday 9 March –Castlebay Hall, Barra
Tuesday 10 March – Dark Island Hotel, Benbecula
Wednesday 11 March – Town Hall, Stornoway
Thursday 12 March – Harris Hotel, Tarbert
Members of the Ferries review team will be available to answer questions.
Mr. Macsween, Vice-Chair of Transportation on Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, said: “This is an opportunity for people to raise concerns and make their views known. There is no point in complaining afterwards about aspects of services if people don’t take the opportunities that are there.”
