Wiiga In Search For New Team Managers Ahead Of 2011 Natwest Island Games
The Western Isles Island Games Association (WIIGA) has announced their search for team managers ahead of the 2011 Natwest Island Games which will take place between the 25th of June and the 2nd of July 2011 on the Isle of Wight. Previous managers are most welcome and eligible to reapply for their positions.
The Committee wishes to recruit team managers and Development Co-ordinators for the following sporting disciplines; Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cycling, Football (Men & Women) Golf, Sailing, Shooting, Squash, Swimming, Table tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Windsurfing.
Chair of WIIGA, Councillor Iain Morrison said:“Although 2011 seems some way off a great deal of preparatory work needs to take place to ensure our island athletes are well prepared and as ready for the Games as they possibly can be. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who are passionate about their sport. The Western Isles team did themselves and their Islands proud in Åland in 2009 and I am confident we can do even better in the Isle of Wight in 2011”.

The WIIGA AGM will be held in the Council Chambers at 7.00pm this evening (Friday 13th November 2009). Members of the public with an interest in the Games are most welcome to attend.
