Comhairle nan Eilean Siar PRESS RELEASE 07 June 2000 For Use: Immediately

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar are advising people to keep clear and to keep animals and stock away from the water at Loch Na Muilne, Linsiader, where an algal bloom has developed.

The bloom may not be toxic but the advice is being given as a precaution.

The situation will continue to be monitored by the Department. For further information, contact The Environmental Services Department, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
