Comhairle To Hold Annual Education Seminars

The Education Committee of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar today agreed to hold an annual seminar to discuss educational matters.

Chairman Norman L Macdonald said:
"These seminars will provide the opportunity to discuss a wider range of educational matters than the Committee structure normally allows where a large amount of time is taken up discussing school buildings and resources. Education is rightly a service of which the Comhairle is proud and the Western Isles has a particularly high regard for educational matters. This forum will allow greater discussion of educational concepts and a more detailed look at the work of the service and how it can be improved for the benefit of pupils."
