Whale Washed Up At Breasclete

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Environmental Health Officers have asked people to stay away from the 40ft. whale washed up at Breasclete on the west side of Lewis.

A spokesperson said: “As a precaution we would advise people to keep a distance from the carcass. The Scottish Veterinary Service are to carry out a post mortem on the animal and then options for disposal will be considered.
