Waste Aware Western Isles
South Uist Highland Games - Wednesday 20 July
The Waste Aware Team attended the South Uist Games at Askernish and although at first it looked like it was going to be a very quiet day it soon picked up. The weather remained dry and cold for most of the day. A wide range of people came to ask questions, give suggestions and find information about organics, recycling and various waste issues in general.
North Uist Highland Games - Friday 22 July
The Waste Aware team attended the North Uist Games at Balelone on a rather sunny day and met lots of enthusiastic recyclers of all ages including Archie from Edinburgh who was on holiday with his family in North Uist. We had a constant stream of people with varying questions which helped to make a really successful day.
