Real Nappy Week - Nunton Steadings
Nunton Steadings, just outside of Ballivanich was the venue chosen for the Benbecula Real Nappy event. It was open house from 1 pm to 6 pm when anyone could visit to find out all about Real Nappies. There was tea and coffee for the mums and dads with a play area and entertainer for the children. Rona had prepared a good display of Real Nappy products and lots of information about the advantages in using them.
A steady stream of visitors through the afternoon kept Rona and Alastair busy talking about Real Nappies and their benefits. Some of the visitors were already mums and dads while others were soon to be. Everyone was able to look at the range of products available and the variety of types and sizes of Real Nappies that are now on offer.
Susan, one of the local Health Visitors, spent several hours with the team. She was able to tell the mums and dads about her own experiences. Rona and Alastair were also happy to hear from many of the mums who visited that they are using Real Nappies at the moment as they find them easier.
A big thank you to all our visitors and to Nunton Steadings for their hospitality. Also a huge thanks to our entertainer, Paul, for keeping younger visitors occupied and teaching the Waste Aware Team to plate spin!
