The Waste Aware Team took the mobile unit over to the Barvas for the Westside Agricultural Show on Friday 27th July. The show this year was being held on the machair for the first time. The day was cloudy but the rain held off for most of the afternoon. A large number of locals and tourists turned out to see the many events, stalls and take part in the competitions. The unit was very well attended. The Waste Aware Team was giving away a Waste Aware Pack, including free organic bin liners, to those members of the public who kindly filled out a quick organic waste questionnaire.
