New Household Waste Recycling Centre

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar have recently opened a New Recycling Centre for the disposal of household items of waste. The facility is at the Creed recycling plant on the Lochs Road.
Site opening hours are as follows:
Monday to Saturday 10:00am – 4:00pm
The new site is open to the public for the disposal of Household Waste:
Individual skips are available to recycle the following materials:
- Wood / Timber
- Metals
- Green Waste / Garden Waste (no top soil with stones)
- General Waste
Other items which are accepted for recycling include:
- Fridges / Freezers
- Cookers / Washing Machines / Tumble Dryers
- TV’s, Computers, Monitors
- Small Electrical items (i.e. Kettles, Toasters, Hairdryers etc)
Bennadrove Landfill and Civic Amenity Site will continue to accept commercial waste, builders rubble and top soil with stones. Bennadrove Landfill and Civic Amenity Site will close on Saturday afternoons at 12:30pm.
