Bags at Co-op

Local shoppers were delighted to use their new shopping bags which were given to them for free on their way in to get their messages. The Waste Aware Team spent the morning handing out their hessian shopper bags at the Co-Op superstore, Macaulay Road to help encourage people to use “re-usable” bags instead of the plastic carrier bags. The Co-op are also encouraging this from their shoppers by removing plastic bags from their tills and replacing them with bags for life, which is great!
