The Western Isles Integrated Waste Management Facility

Creed Business Park

The Western Isles Integrated Waste Management Facility is now in full operation at the Creed Enterprise Park, Lochs Road.

The purpose and aims of this new Waste Management Facility are:

  • The treatment of Source-separated biowaste (paper, garden and kitchen waste) using Anaerobic Digestion.
  • The treatment of the organic-rich fraction of residual household waste using In-Vessel Composting
  • The handling of dry recyclables (Glass, can separation and baling and plastics baling)
