The Waste Aware team visited Barra on two separate occasions.  They saw the secondary classes in Nov 06 and primary classes in January 07.  The pupils were educated on the importance of the 3 R’s and waste mangement. 

The primary classes took part in the 3R’s game – which they entered into with lots of enthusiasm! 

The secondary pupils were also spoken to about organic waste and were shown a sample of compost made from organic waste.

The team are looking forward to their next visit to the Island.
