Sharon and Christine made their way to Leverhulme Primary School in Leverburgh to give the children some tips on how to improve their recycling in the school.
All the classes listened carefully to the Waste Aware Team explain about the 3 Rs and the Organic bin collection in Lewis and Harris. The children were very clued up on this and gave Sharon and Christine a few good ideas on reusing their old clothes and toys such as putting them to your local playgroup for dressing up and playing.
Everyone enjoyed playing the game afterwards and the pupils promised Waste Aware they will make sure they will continue their great recycling efforts in school and at home.
