Paible School visits – 5 & 6 June 2007

The Waste Aware Officer was invited to visit the school to give a presentation to all classes following discussions with the Depute Head about waste issues.  The school will now start a recycling programme which will involve organics, paper separation & plastic recycling.  The following day approximately 40 pupils from P4-7 and S1 & S2 came to visit the Waste Transfer Station in two groups to see what would happen to the waste they collect. They even brought some plastics along to see it being baled.
