Mr MacDonald has recently retired and the school has appointed Mr John Harrison as the new Head. The following is Mr MacDonald's message as Head Teacher.
Being a community school we place emphasis on the "open door" role of the school in the community. We encourage all members of the community to make maximum use of the facilities and would equally encourage the
community to contribute to the shaping of the future of Sgoil Lionacleit. Day school adult education is provided on an infill basis in the senior school during the day and a range of evening classes is offered during the winter months.
Education is a life-long process and the main task of the secondary school is to provide a sound and balanced base for later life. We hope that the courses we provide will be challenging to all pupils and
that following them will be a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
I wish to remind pupils and parents that secondary education involves hard work and that close
co-operation between pupils, parents and teachers is essential to ensure that pupils achieve their potential.
