Tolsta Primary School

School Activities - Athletics & XC
Lewis & Harris XC - Race 1
November 5, 2005

Another successful day for Tolsta at Cross Country!
Not only did we have a large number of pupils participating
but we had some excellent individual and team results!
Well done everyone who represented the school so superbly on Saturday!

Catriona and Campbell won their races and Stuart came second in his race.
In the Schools Cup competitions, Tolsta Primary are leading the U11 Girls competition and
third in the U9 Boys competition! Keep up the good work everyone!

Campbell starts as he means to finish by immediately taking the lead
Campbell shows the other 57 athletes a not so clean pair of heels in the U11 race! In that race Campbell stayed clear of the field and won comfortably and Catriona won the girls race (beating 28 of the boys to the finish as well as all the other girls!)

Campbell might have won by more if he hadn't hopped all the way! Catriona sprints to the finish and wins her race!
Sheena looks a bit camera shy! They move so fast the camera can't keep up!
One last sprint One last effort required
Making a determined start Running along below the Castle
Leah heads for the finish Leah and Rebecca proudly showing their medals

Martin

Running up hill through the trees was the hardest part of the course.
