SPORTS FACILITY PROJECTS

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar wishes to produce a portfolio of projects for consideration in the forthcoming capital programme.  In order to produce a prioritised list of project, proposals are being invited from all with an interest in the development of sports facilities in the Western Isles.
The following organisations are being targeted as potential partners in this process:

• Clubs and organisations affiliated to the local sports councils
• Comhairle sports facilities
• Schools and Pre-school Facilities
• Community Centres and Halls
• Community Councils
• Outdoor Centres
• The Outdoor Forum

The Project Proposal Template lists the factors to be addressed when submitting a proposal.  This template should be used as the basis for detailing proposals and providing evidence of need.

In order to create a prioritised list for consideration by the Comhairle, the Director of Sustainable Communities has been delegated the responsibility for scoring the proposals.  The enclosed Scoring Proforma will be the method used to grade the proposals.

The deadline for proposals, to be submitted to Emma Macsween, is the 25th of June 2007.  Forms should be returned to:
