CALANAIS STONES

A magnificent monument in a magnificent setting.

These ancient stones are layed out in the shape of a cross with a chambered cairn at the centre.

The Callanish Stones Visitors Centre has an exhibition area, tearoom and craft/book shop.

Over the hill at the other end of the stone cross, there is a small tea room selling local arts and crafts - this building is a renovated "Black House".
