Work progressing on Marshalling Area
Work on the new terminal and access road was nearing completion by February 9 at Aird Mhor.
The roadwork earthworks was complete as was the Timber Alignment / Berthing Structure. The installation of diagonal timber bracing and steel walkway had started while beside the roadway the reinstatement and landscaping of the rock source continued. Overall work on landscaping continued beside the road.
The personnel employed amounted to 24 in total of whom 9 are resident in the Western Isles.
Weather: Wet and windy, gale force a lot of the time.
