The Outer Hebrides YLAG have launched their grant fund for 2025-26. Applications are being sought for projects requiring capital funding of at least £5,000 and the total budget is around £30,000.
Applications will be accepted from constituted community groups and initiatives that are based in the Outer Hebrides and demonstrate that their project will have an obvious, long-term positive impact on island communities and in particular on young people under the age of 30. Priority will be given to applications that support Gaelic, although that is not an essential criterion.
Projects must contribute to at least one of the YLAG’s priorities for 2024-25, which are:
- Empowering Young People;
- Dùthchas and Dualchas*;
- Entrepreneurship;
- Health and Wellbeing; and
- Personal and Professional Development.
Applications must be submitted by midday on Wednesday 6th August 2025. Successful applicants must be able to spend any funds received and complete their project between September 2025 and 26th February 2026.
