Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is hosting a series of community conversations to gather public views on the 2025-2030 Outer Hebrides Local Housing Strategy.
On Wednesday 5 February Cllr Kenny Macleod, Convener of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and Mr Iain Macaulay, Lord-Lieutenant for the Western Isles visited Leslie Eller on the occasion of his 100th birthday and presented him with a gift on behalf of the communities of the Western Isles.
Additional measures have been introduced to ensure that only permitted vehicles access the Stornoway Town Centre Pedestrian Zone during the restricted access hours of 10:30am to 6pm.
Adult Support and Protection Services in the Western Isles have received a positive report from the Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

Enrolment is now open for children entering nursery, P1 and S1 in Comhairle schools and centres for August 2025 onwards. Parents and carers should enrol eligible children by Friday 7th March 2025.
