At a ceremony in Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Sandwick Road Offices the Supporters Club was recognised for its longevity and continued service to the community.
During the ceremony, the Convener praised the Supporters club for its status as the world’s largest Rangers Supporters Club, its extensive charity work, and its role as a hub of the community.
Speaking at the ceremony Cllr Kenny Macleod said:
“Starting an organisation is difficult and running an organisation is challenging, sustaining an organisation successfully for 50 years is an incredible achievement that demonstrates dedication and real leadership. I would like to commend the volunteers, members, and staff of the Rangers Club for this achievement and their continuous work to make the club a success and an integral part of the local community.”
