Gaelic Books Council Exhibition

Celebrate 50 years of the Gaelic Books Council, the lead organisation that supports Scottish Gaelic authors and publishers and promotes Gaelic books in Scotland and internationally.

Since its establishment at Glasgow University on 20th December 1968, the Gaelic Books Council (GBC) has supported the publication of hundreds of books and has provided funding and services to writers throughout Scotland and further afield, many of them from the Western Isles.

This exhibition celebrates the contribution of those writers and others towards the cultural landscape of Scotland, and looks ahead to the next 50 years of Gaelic literature.

The exhibition will be open between 1-4pm on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Friday 17 January 2010 to Saturday 28 March 2020.
