If you, your organisation or anyone you know are making a difference – however big or small - please enter, nominate them or encourage them to enter to get the recognition they deserve and to show what works for them.

Award Categories
Community, Heritage & Tourism Award - Sponsored by Highlands & Islands Enterprise
For the group, organisation, community or school that has done most to utilise Gaelic within its community, in highlighting its heritage, or by promoting tourism in 2018/19.
Arts & Culture Award - Sponsored by Creative Scotland
For the most outstanding contribution to Gaelic culture in 2018/19. The award can cover, literature, poetry, music, visual art, drama, film or television.
Gaelic as an Economic Asset Award - Sponsored by Thorntons Investments
To recognise success made by a business, social enterprise or community group in realising the proven economic value of Gaelic towards Scotland's economy. This can be marked through turnover, attributable and measurable, associated with using of Gaelic as an asset to add economic value. The award recognises a wide range of initiatives from the creative industries, food and drink, tourism and commercial provision.
International Award
For the individual, event, group or organisation that best promotes Gaelic outside Scotland.
Learner Award
To celebrate an outstanding contribution towards the learning of the Gaelic language. This award is open to individuals, groups and organisations who inspire the learning of Gaelic by devising new methods of teaching/learning or who create innovative learning resources for any age.
Best Contribution Award - Sponsored by Bòrd na Gàidhlig
For the individual, group or organisation that has contributed significantly towards the growth or development of the Gaelic language in 2018/19 either locally, nationally or internationally. As well as recognising those who have been promoting Gaelic for years, this award is also open to those who may have broken new ground.
Young Gaelic Ambassador of the Year Award - Sponsored by Historic Environment Scotland
For the outstanding young Gael (Under 25) who has made a significant contribution to the promotion of the Gaelic language in 2018/19.
Sport Award
For the practitioners, organisers or commentators for the best use of Gaelic in a sporting event or activity in 2018/19.
Event Award
For a one-off or regular event, large or small, which best promotes and or supports the Gaelic language within Scotland in 2018/19.
Innovation in Education Award
For teachers, support staff, pupils/students, Local Authority or education group which creates innovative ideas to support the strong delivery of Gaelic education (both for GME and GLE). This award looks for nominations at any level from pre-school to further and higher education.
