Young people in Scotland studying for Senior Phase qualifications can once again access free, online Easter Study Support webinars from e-Sgoil. Registration for the extensive programme of webinars is now open, with sessions scheduled to run throughout the week beginning 7th April.
Webinars are delivered by fully qualified specialist secondary teachers. 57 different webinar groups are on offer this year, covering all the larger subject areas as well as an extensive range of other popular subjects across National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels.
The service is focussed on delivering equitable access to all learners in Scotland, and is completely free. Last session, almost all learners attending webinars rated the overall quality of their experience as “excellent”, and 98% reported that attending Easter Study Support helped to increase their confidence and reduce their anxiety ahead of final exams
The Easter programme, now in its fifth year, has been developed as part of the Scottish Government funded National e-Learning Offer, and continues to grow in popularity. Last year, 3598 learners from 325 schools registered for a total of more than 16,000 webinar places.
Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, Jenny Gilruth, stated,
“The Scottish Government is pleased to be able to continue support for the e-Sgoil Easter Study Support programme. It provides valuable support for senior phase pupils preparing for their National Qualifications exams.
“The programme which is open to all senior phase pupils in Scotland builds on e-Sgoil's evening study support and other resources and complements support available in Scotland’s schools.”
