Donald Macleod, Chief Education Officer said:
“I welcome the publication of both reports for Harris schools today. They rightly identify the strengths and positive attributes of our schools, and I am particularly pleased to see the recognition for the very good work of Sgoil an t- Òib. We will continue to work with the school to build on this progress, including areas relating to the Sgoil Àraich provision."
“I recognise the good work that is highlighted in the report for Sir E Scott School in their report, the publication of which comes shortly after strong results for the school in SQA National Qualifications. I also understand the issues that inspectors highlighted in their findings and Comhairle officers will continue to work with the school to address the identified areas for improvement. This is work that has already commenced and is well under way at the school.””
