
In the report, Taigh Shiphoirt has been assessed to be good on four measured criteria, very good on one criteria and been judged to have met one area for improvement that had been identified following the Care Inspectorate’s last visit.
In evaluating quality, the Care Inspectorate use a six-point scale where 1 is unsatisfactory and 6 is excellent. Taigh Shiphoirt received the following assessment.
- How well do we support people's wellbeing? 4 - Good
- How good is our leadership? 4 - Good
- How good is our staff team? 4 - Good
- How good is our setting? 5 - Very Good
- How well is our care and support planned? 4 - Good
The inspection report highlighted good performance in the implementation of improvements, prioritising the health of residents and providing suitable activities.
There was a strong and cohesive leadership team in place who continued to drive service improvements forward.
- Steady and sustained improvements were benefiting the health and well-being of people.
- People were well cared for, and were treated with kindness, compassion, and respect.
- People were enjoying and benefiting from an improved range of relevant and interesting activities.
- People's wellbeing was promoted, as staff worked well together and knew how people wished to be supported.
- The environment was warm, comfortable and welcoming with plenty of fresh air, natural light and sufficient space to meet people's needs and wishes.
