45 teams took part in the festival, with teams from Lionel, Sgoil an Taobh Siar, Shawbost, Breasclete, Uig, Sgoil nan Loch, Stornoway, Laxdale, Sgoil an Rubha and Tong participating.

On the night pupils were split into 2 sessions. In each session teams of 4 rowers took part in 4-minute races rotating rowers every 30 seconds. The teams were measured on their total distance and were then challenged to beat this total on their next attempt.

The primary aim of the festival was for children to have fun and compete to the best of their abilities. Each team that took part showed great team spirit with excellent sportsmanship, supporting their fellow rowers, being positive and most importantly having fun, also the excellent tunes added to the electric atmosphere.

Sports Development Services would like to thank all the volunteers, teachers and parents, for supervising the teams on the night, Sport Centre staff, Rebecca and Leanne and, of course, the pupils that participated on the night.
