Western Isles Employability Skills Analysis

Western Isles Employability Skills Analysis

The Western Isles Local Employability Partnership (LEP) is working with employers to conduct a local skills analysis.

Western Isles Employability Skills Analysis Form

As part of the analysis Western Isles employers will be asked to answer a series of questions through a Skills Analysis Form.

The form asks employers to provide information on aspects of their business including current employee numbers, employment sector, recruitment challenges and anticipated future skills needs.

The LEP will use the information gathered to inform its work to:

  • Strengthen the local talent pipeline by addressing industry-specific skills needs
  • Ensure recruitment challenges are tackled effectively with targeted support
  • Influence funding and training opportunities for future workforce development

Dolina Smith, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar Learning and Development Manager said:

“The Local Employability Partnership is committed to delivering training opportunities, providing recruitment support and tackling unemployment and poverty. To encourage economic growth and capitalise on future opportunities it is vital that the Western Isles has a workforce that is ready to meet the skill and recruitment needs of our businesses. By completing this form employers can help shape the work of the LEP to develop the workforce that their business and sector needs. I would encourage all employers to engage with this process and complete the form in full.”

Please note that the closing date for completing the survey is Monday 9 June 2025.
