Eligibility and Registering to Vote

You can apply to register to vote online. 

You will need to provide:

• your name
• address
• national insurance number
• nationality
• age

You only need to register once, unless you change your address, name or nationality. 

You are not registered until you receive confirmation from the electoral registration office about your application.

You can also register by calling the Electoral Registration Office on 01851 619179 and requesting an application form.

 Completed forms should be sent to the Electoral Registration Office and not to the Comhairle Election Office

The electoral register is maintained by the Electoral Registration Office and not by the Comhairle.
